On the basis of administrative documents of SEZA from 23 to 25 February this year, experts of department training solutions for physical protection of nuclear and radiation hazardous objects and mobilization readiness of the "Center of technical, organizational, information support of exclusion zone management" participated in the commission on DAZV a routine check of the target for the physical protection "Vektor" SSE "Centralized agency of radioactive waste Management."

The exclusion zone has always attracted a lot of attention not only of Ukrainian but also international organizations and the media.

In late February Zone crew visited The Scottish BBC representatives visited exclusion zone in late February. The goal of the visit was a preparation of special program "Europe" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.

Emergency crew SSE "Lviv SISP" SC "UkrDO" Radon " took part in the demonstration of complex training with governments and civil defense forces during the Civil Protection management meeting of the Lviv region, summarizing work gone in 2015.

On the eve of the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident Vitaly Petruk, Chairman of the Agency for Management of Exclusion Zone, met with a delegation from the Parliament of Japan headed by Mr. Teruhiko Machico, representing the district of Fukushima in the House of Advisors.

Japanese side was interested in the progress of Ukraine in diminishing psychological trauma from the accident, the results of measures on social support, the construction of facilities that are aimed at public safety.

The meeting of the commission on technogenic and ecological safety and emergencies in the exclusion zone and zone of absolute (obligatory) resettlement took place on February 25th in DAZV.

The meeting was led by the Head of Civil Protection and Specialty workers of the State Enterprise "Centre of technical, organizational and information providing of the exclusion zone management." Vladimir Volkov.

Scottish BBC branch journalists are currently creating a special program to mark the anniversary of the accident and want to show the changes that took place in 30 years after the disaster.

During the interview with Vitaly Petruk said: "Earlier we looked at the Chernobyl area with sorrow, and now want to see it as a territory under development. We are changing the approach to this area, but public safety is a priority. The area will be divided into two areas - first, that infected transuranium elements and is closer to the station, will have the status of industrial use, and the rest of the territory will get the status of reserve that will provide further opportunity for research. "

February 22nd and 23rd  in Kyiv department  of the European Nuclear Regulatory Organization RiskAudit, within the international project "Support for radioactive waste management in Ukraine" conducted a workshop on "Simulation results of the pilot sites PTLRW necessary for safety assessment."

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Consortium PLEJADES GmbH (Germany), which includes the company also Brenk Systemplanung GmbH (Germany), SSE "Central company of Radioactive Waste Management" (SSE "TSPPRV") and the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine.

The meeting of representatives from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, the State Agency of Ukraine on the exclusion zone management and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine with a delegation of US Department of Agriculture (USDA) took place on February 23, 2016.

The State Agency of Ukraine on the exclusion zone management hosted a meeting of its Chairman Vitalii Petruk with Norbert Molitor - senior expert of the project "Support of radioactive waste management in Ukraine", funded by the European Union.

During the meeting the issues of improving the safety and economic efficiency of all types of radioactive waste management in Ukraine were discussed, particularly targeting activities on minimizing radioactive waste generation and their safe disposal.

Following enterprises were defined as recipients of the project:
State Enterprise “National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom” , Ukrainian State Corporation “RADON, State Specialized Enterprise “Chornobyl NPP”, Institute for Nuclear Research Institute for Nuclear Research of NASU.

According to the approved program, the project of the European Commission "Improving infrastructure for radioactive waste management, rehabilitation of contaminated areas and decommissioning in Ukraine", February 18, members of the working group of the European Commission (Germany) and the corporation "Ukratomprylad" visited State specializing enterprise “Lvivkyy SISP” of State corporation" Ukrainian State association "Radon" (DC UkrDO "Radon").

Visitors of the Chernobyl exclusion zone during their tours to the area, both delegations and individuals, pay attention to this category of persons and very often come to get acquainted with their living conditions. In general, "re-settlers" are elderly people.

According to the approved program, in the framework of the European Commission project on "Improving infrastructure for radioactive waste management, restoration of contaminated areas and decommissioning in Ukraine", members of the working group of the European Commission (Germany) on 11 and 12 February 2016 visited SSE "Kharkiv SISC" and SSE "Dnepropetrovsk SISC" Ukrainian State Corporation "Radon".
