SAUEZM will cooperate with the National Commission for Radiation Protection of the Population on the development of the scientific potential of the Exclusion Zone

Deputy Head of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management Maksym Shevchuk and Head of the National Commission for Radiation Protection of Ukraine Oleksandr Kopylenko discussed cooperation in developing scientific potential in the Exclusion Zone.

In particular, one of the initiatives discussed at the meeting was the creation of a research hub in the Exclusion Zone. The scientific hub will be responsible for organizing and coordinating Ukrainian and international research on field, laboratory and model research, as well as creating a database of scientific data for objective assessment and forecasting of the radioecological and radioactive situation in the Exclusion Zone.

The inclusion of a research hub in the activities of relevant international research platforms, that was also discussed in order to present and share scientific achievements in the international arena.

It is planned that in the near future a research hub will be established on the basis of SAUEZM and enterprises belonging to the Agency's management.

The meeting was also attended by Oleksandr Matviychuk, Chief of Staff of the NCRPU, Mykhailo Grabchuk, Deputy Director of the State Enterprise «COTI» and Anastasia Nechytaylo, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the State Enterprise «COTIZ».
